Wishlist wednesday

Gosh, it's been a while... Sorry for my very long absence. I felt uninspired, was very busy and worked hard for my school. I haven't been inspired this season, maybe it's because up 'til now I didn't find much items I liked. That was until I found this great dress by Stella Jean. It is such a good statement dress and I love the print. The Bionda Castana pumps go really good with them. I don't like my looks to be too matchy-matchy so I prefer to wear a contrasting colored bag with it. In this case this lovely Loeffler Randall bag. The Fashionology.nl ring and the Spitfire sunglasses complete the look.

2014 Style Resolutions

I know, I know, 2014 has started a week ago.. So I am a little late with my New Years resolutions, but I needed some time to think about them. I read a few Style Resolutions from other bloggers and I thought it would be fun to come up with my own style resolutions. I think last year I did pretty good, made some good changes in my way of shopping and spending money on clothes, shoes and accessories, but I think there are still some improvements possible..

So here we go:
1. Keep wearing as much color as possible and lots of prints, preferably prints with prints.
I just love bright colored outfits that are really out there and makes me smile (and hopefully others too). I really love prints and almost always when I put together an outfit in a moodboard it is all about prints. But somehow I don't usually buy printed items. So this year I will buy more prints.
2. Buy less, invest more
Last year this was also one of my style resolutions. I think I did okay in this area. I improved a lot, since I used to be such a bargain hunter and ending up with stuff that I didn't even like that much in the end. So in 2013 I did some good buys, like my Jimmy Choo and Schutz heels, but I have to keep this in mind..
3. Very much related to #2: Only buy things I really love
This theory has proved its worth to me in the past, so I just got to hold on to it in 2014. Doesn't matter if it is cheap or not, but I only want to buy stuff I really love.
4. Accessorize more
I believe that the right accessories make an outfit. So I need to invest more in some great accessories, like shoes, bags and lots of jewelry!

Well.. I guess these were my lucky 4;)

What were the best things that happened in 2013? What are the most precious memories of the year that has passed?

For me there are a few great memories..
First of all, starting a studies in fashion & styling.

Then of course some of the trips I've made in 2013, Portugal, Madrid and Kopenhagen.
View from a lovely hotel in the north of Portugal

The lovely narrow streets of Madrid

And of course also my new job! The saying ' When one door closes, another one opens'  proved itself this year...

What were your best moments of 2013?
Let's hope 2014 will be even better..

Have a fabulous New Years Eve tonight!
